PLEASE also do some research on the industry, for yourself. Google is a miraculous tool, bringing all there is to know at your fingertips. Out of respect for the business and everyone involved, know what your work is about! It will only benefit you!
Helpful Hints for the future:
1.) Educate yourselves on the difference between Extras Casting and Principal Casting. If nothing else, know that Extras Casting does NOT cast speaking parts. Ever. All this information is available online. Don't expect other people to explain to you how "the business" works.
2.) Educate yourselves on the Screen Actor's Guild union (SAG) as they apply to Illinois. IL is not NYC or LA. The rules and guidelines are VERY different on the coasts.
3.) If you want to be considered for more extra roles, start working on obtaining a varied wardrobe.(i.e. If you don't have suits *more than one*, you can't be considered for a lawyer).
4.) Keep in mind that one of the WORST things you can do, is call ANY casting office asking if you can work. It looks extremely unprofessional, and can almost guarantee you NOT getting work. There is such a thing as being too persistent. Just be patient. OR if you think there's an issue, send a brief email. NEVER CALL.
5.) Easy on the social media commentary; Limit the amount of posts you comment on, and how frequently you do it. Too many comments can draw attention to yourself in a really bad way.
6.) UPDATE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION AND PHOTOS!!!
